Chattanooga,Tennessee -Fiddler

In July of 2012 James Simon won the competition to create a sculpture for the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee.The Fiddle player was created in clay and then cast in a fiber reinforced concrete.The sculpture stands 8.5 feet tall plus a 3 foot podium. He is tinted with various oxides inspired by the colors of Pre-Columbian archeological ceramic works.
